The tandem is joined by four other Indians on the all-league team. Ripon (9-1 TVL, 16-9-1 overall) shared the championship with Hilmar (9-1, 24-6-2), which also received two major individual awards — sophomore Brisa Gonzales is MVP, and Guy Bettencourt is Coach of the Year.

Maragos amassed 15 goals and four assists in four league games. She scored four of those goals in a 4-0 win over Hughson and notched three consecutive braces in wins against Hilmar, Escalon and Riverbank. The attacking midfielder/striker totaled 24 goals and five assists overall.

Rhodes, a senior, anchored a stifling back line that gave up only two goals — both to Hilmar — in league games. The center back contributed three goals and an assist to the attack. She previously made all-league as a sophomore.

Senior outside midfielder Katie Martin (10 goals, four assists), senior defensive midfielder Kaya Whitaker, senior defender Alyson Harvey and junior defender Kyla Agbayani are the other Ripon players on the all-league team.

Getting honorable mention: Rylee Agbayani, Kaitlyn Espinola, Alex Iniguez, Malia Locarnini, Jordyn Meeuwse, Ellena Parenti-Gomez, Madelyn Reedy and Starla Skiles.

Ripon’s boys team has no all-league selections after going 0-8-2 (7-15-4 overall). Junior defender Ricky Langenfeld made honorable mention.

Eric Verduzco of TVL champion Riverbank (8-2, 11-12-4) was voted MVP, and Juan Harvey earned Coach of the Year. Livingston’s Alejandro Avila received Offensive Player of the Year, and Hughson’s John Rodriguez is Defensive Player of the Year.
