Not so fast, says the Ripon Christian baseball team.

After dropping the opener of its two-game set to Escalon earlier in the week, the Knights evened the score on Friday with a 9-6 win that has both tied once again for the Trans Valley League lead.

Ripon Christian (5-1 TVL, 10-2 overall) scored six runs in the third inning and raced away with three more at the top of the seventh.

The Knights were held to just four hits, including a bases-clearing double from Stadtler Postma, They drew four walks and were hit by two pitches while aided by five errors from Escalon (5-1, 12-3).
