STOCKTON (AP) -- Jordan Serena hit a run-scoring single in the fifth inning, leading the Inland Empire 66ers to a 5-3 win over the Stockton Ports on Wednesday.
Sam Holland struck Josh Vidales out with a runner on first to end the game for his fifth save of the season.
The single by Serena capped a two-run inning and gave the 66ers a 4-3 lead after Matt Thaiss scored on an error earlier in the inning.
The 66ers tacked on another run in the seventh when Michael Barash scored on a sacrifice.
Barash singled twice, scoring two runs for Inland Empire.
Garrett Nuss (2-0) got the win with three innings of scoreless relief while Will Gilbert (0-1) took the loss in the California League game.
