RANCHO CUCAMONGA (AP) — Sandber Pimentel hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, and Richie Martin homered and had three hits, driving in two as the Stockton Ports topped the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 5-3 on Wednesday.

The home run by Pimentel, part of a three-run inning, gave the Ports a 3-0 lead before Martin hit an RBI single later in the inning.

After Stockton added a run in the sixth on a single by Pimentel, the Quakes cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Luke Raley hit a two-run triple and then scored on a single by DJ Peters.

Miguel Romero (2-1) got the win with 2 2/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Rancho Cucamonga starter Michael Boyle (4-6) took the loss in the California League game. Nolan Blackwood pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings for his 16th save of the season.
