TRACY – Ripon shot itself into Thursday’s final in the 12U District 67 All-Star championship with mercy-rule wins of 41-0 over Patterson and 15-5 over Tracy on Saturday at the Tracy Softball Complex.
Kendall Alexander dominated the three-inning 41-0 win over Patterson as she tallied three RBI, going 4 for 4 with six RBI on three home runs – one a grand slam – and four runs. She absolutely owned the chalked circle, striking out all nine batters she faced.
Raegan Colace (double, four runs) knocked in four runs for Ripon, Reagan Fernandes (3 for 3, three runs) and Sophie Douglas (five runs) tallied three RBI apiece, Abby Douglas (three runs) knocked in two runs with Annabelle Hoff (3 for 4, four runs) and Taya Christensen (three runs) adding two RBI apiece.
Emma Jasper, Olivia Jasper and Emmersyn Borges all scored three runs and Ana Shriver (2 for 3, triple) scored two runs.
Borges had the big bat in the 15-5 five-inning semifinal win over Tracy, belting a two-RBI double and an RBI triple, scoring twice. Alexander tallied two hits, knocking in one run and scoring two with Abby Douglas scoring two runs.
Emma Jasper and Langmeyer each knocked in and scored a run. Sophia Douglas, Hoff, Shriver and Olivia Jasper all added a run.
Hoff went the distance, striking out nine.
Ripon will play either Patterson or Tracy in the finals on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Tracy Softball Complex.
