The Ripon Chiefs varsity downed the Tri-City Bulldogs 41-12 in a semifinal tilt Saturday at Stouffer Field to advance to the Trans-Valley Youth Football League Super Bowl next Saturday at Le Grand High School.
Mason Dodson got the Chiefs rolling with a 57-yard touchdown pass to Damon Camp. David Viss added two touchdowns, Reid Rangel one and Landon Viss posted a scoop and score. Henry Cook chipped in a timely interception.

Jackson Hale helped Ripon set the defensive tone early with a fumble recovery that led the the opening score for the Chiefs on a 5-yard touchdown run by Brad Volbrecht. Ripon forced two more turnovers on an interception by Tyson Santiago along with a fumble recovery.Titus De La Torre tallied multiple tackles for a loss and several sacks, anchoring a relentless defensive front.
L.J. Santiago scored three Knights touchdowns, two on receptions with one being a 60-yard pass from Brady Sarratt and the other on a pass from Vincent Long - along with a defensive touchdown. Anthony Molson Jr. pulled in a touchdown throw from Sarratt.
Ripon Knights 37, Salida Eagles 14
Ripon’s Eli Browne posted four touchdowns.
Browne (10 carries, 101 yards) scored on runs of 8, 16 and 56 yards along with pulling in a 29-yard touchdown pass from Mearl Thompson. Luca Durao (seven carries, 90 yards) scored from 41 yards out and Chase Johnson (two carries, 67 yards) scampered 55 yards for a touchdown.
Durao, Browne, Nikolai Gorbunoff, and Aiden John made four tackles apiece. Jaxson Quilantang and Johnson added three stops each.
The Knights offensive line of Nathaniel Grimaldo, Logan Stirrat, Levi Reeder, Quilantang and Makaio Jackson played well as fif the wide-receiver corps of Elijah Hernandez, Cohen Vermeulen, Jonny Mulkey, Everette DeHart, Pierce Flora and Muschott.
