The Manteca Jr. Buffaloes varsity offensive line of Aiden Freitas, Ja’syn Turner, Francisco Diaz, Colin Calkins, Israel Juarez and Grayson Calvillo-Nolan paved the way for Manteca’s 30-6 Central Valley Youth Football and Cheer win over the visiting Lathrop Jr. Spartans on Saturday at Guss Schmiedt Field.
Vinny Diaz (22 carries, 162 yards) ran behind that stellar offensive line and scored on 1- and 4-yard runs. Navi Murillo (eight carries, 64 yards) added a 7-yard touchdown run and John Ellis scored on a 1-yard plunge.
Grant Catalano paced the Buffaloes defense with seven tackles followed by Aiden Freitas and Ellis with five stops apiece and Murillo (interception), Diaz and Israel Juarez with four tackles each.
Zyann Reyno (six, carries, 26 yards) tallied the lone Lathrop scored on a 4-yard run. Logan Martinez (four carries, 40 yards) and Jackson Guardiola (three carries, 32 yards) contributed to the Spartans offense.
Lathrop’s Johnny Silvas made nine tackles, Carlos Guiterrez eight, Manuel Lupercio seven and Alluis Lopez six.
Tracy Buccaneers 50, Manteca Cowboys 6
Jaxon Coenenberg scored the lone Manteca touchdown on a 5-yard run on the road at Tracy High.
Coenenberg was 5 of 10 passing for 55 yards with Aiden Howe making three catches for 30 yards and Noah Cedano two catches for 25 yards. Howe tallied 46 yards on four carries and Mateo Salcido picked up 58 yards on six carries.
Ernesto Cruz led the Cowboys with four tackles and Lloyal Galtney made three stops. Nico Rangel, Kaleb Nunes and Cedano all contributed to the Manteca defense.
Jr. Varsity
Jr. Buffaloes 12, Jr. Spartans 6
Jet Johnson scored both Manteca touchdowns.
Johnson got the first Buffaloes scored on a 52-yard pass from A.J. Haines (87 passing yards on five completions) and the second when he returned an interception 89 yards for a fourth-quarter touchdown. Manteca platooned its running backs with Quinnie Dunbar leading the Buffaloes with 40 yards on the ground.
Jayden Jourdan made four tackles and an interception for the Buffaloes. Dunbar made three stops and Adrian Reyes Echeverria recovered a fumble.
Jace Williams, Jordan Romo and Claudio Rivera paced the Lathrop offense.
Dominic Ramos (three tackles) returned an interception 54 yards for the Spartans touchdown. Claudio Rivera added nine tackles and Josiah Lopez six.
Buccaneers 18, Cowboys 0
C.J. Stevens led the Manteca offense with 52 yards on 11 carries.
Ruben Cedano and German Patron contributed to the Cowboys offense and Cedano made six tackles. A.J. Aguirre made 11 stops with five apiece for David Salinas and Abel George.

Jr. Buffaloes 47, Jr. Spartans 0
Manteca’s Jeremiah Williams ran wild with 276 yards on seven carries with touchdown runs of 47, 47, 50 and 53 yards.
Jessy Arceo (nine carries, 102 yards) posted touchdown runs of 2 and 40 yards with Harrison Catalano (five carries, 95 yards) scoring on a 42-yard run.
Williams, Michael Somera and James Gordley III made four stops each with three for Gilbert Maldonado. Arceo, Jaxson DeBarr, Josiah Silva and Catalano all contributed on defense.
Marshall Johnwell and Jasean Baker contributed to the Lathrop offense. Johnwell made eight stops and Baker seven.

Manteca’s Brixxton Fryer scored three second-period touchdowns.
Fryer (10 carries, 177 yards) scored on runs of 13, 42 and 54 yards. The rest of the Buffaloes scoring was spread around with Carter Louis scoring on a 13-yard run, Jose Cortez Jr. from 2 yards out, Malachi Wright on a 7-yard run and Kayden Edwards from 35 yards out.
Louis and Edwards paced the Jr. Buffaloes defense with four tackles apiece with three apiece for Jose Cortez Jr. and Tate Gallardo.
August Allen paced the Lathrop offense. Rayce Collado and Giovanni Sanchez made six stops apiece for the Jr. Spartans.

Manteca’s Andrew Cypert gained 60 yards rushing, while Omar Castillo contributed to the Cowboys offense.
Manteca’s Austin Chaney made five stops and Ezekiel Mendez four.

In a game played Saturday, Aug. 30, at Tokay High School in Lodi, Fryer (12 carries, 190 yards) scored on 1-, 16- and 42 yard runs.
Louis (five carries, 94 yards) added scoring runs of 22 and 48 yards with Cortez Jr. adding a 1-yard scoring plunge and Gallardo scoring from 31 yards out.
Louis made five stops, Easton Franco (two forced fumbles, fumble recovery) four with three each for Fryer and Gallardo.
