SACRAMENTO — Wonder Woman was unstoppable in the Sacramento United Octo-Boo Fest tournament held at Granite Regional Park last weekend.

Dressed as the comic book superhero, the Manteca FC Benfica under-10 girls shut out four opponents en route to winning the championship. Joanna Roa amassed five total goals in the two days, while goalie Tatiana Orozco kept the sheet clean.

Benfica opened with a 4-0 drubbing of Modesto Ajax, donning pirate costumes. Roa accounted for two of the goals, while Chloe Silva and Sienna Jones added one each.

They then dropped Sacramento United, dressed as Annabelle dolls, 3-0 later that Saturday, with Jaylyn Ruoz, Roa and Silva scoring the goals. Sunday morning, Manteca FC blanked American River FC (Oompa Loopas), 4-0. Morgan Neveah Yslava and Presley Perez contributed to the scoring. Roa and Silva added one more apiece.

Benfica completed the title run with a 3-0 victory over Real Colorado FC. Roa struck with the go-ahead goal midway through the first half, while Perez and Yslava chipped in insurance goals.

Other key contributors for the tournament champions were defenders Savannagh Scott, Kaya Whittaker and Jenni Nassayan, midfielder Payton Abrew and Sienna Jones, Corrine Jones and Lydia Allgaier.
