Catholic retreat day Dec. 12 focuses on sexuality, spirituality

MODESTO – The Institute for Catholic Spirituality and Spiritual Direction of the Diocese of Stockton is offering a retreat day with Father Ron Rolheiser, OMI.

The day’s retreat is entitled “Sexuality and Spirituality: From Anxiety and Restlessness to Gratitude and Blessing” and will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Gym, 505 West Granger Ave. in Modesto, on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Father Rolheiser, a world renowned theologian, retreat leader, and spiritual director, is the president of the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas.  He is the author of eight books and is a weekly columnist in more than 65 Catholic papers worldwide.  His books include: “Holy Longing,” recipient of the USA Catholic Press Book award for 2000, for the best hardcover book in spirituality, and “The Shattered Lanter,” recipient of the Catholic Book Award for best paperback spirituality book, USA Catholic Book Awards, 1996. Fee for the day is $15. Bring your own bag lunch.
