CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY: Join us this Sunday for a candlelight Communion Service, a message by Pastor Chris Reif and special Christmas music by Pastor Travis Martin. Service times are 9 and 10:45 a.m. at 6 p.m. we will be having a Gingerbread House contest and potluck dinner. Cornerstone Kid’s Church, nursery and preschool are available during both service times. PRESBYTERIAN:  All are welcome this Second Sunday of Advent at Manteca Presbyterian Church for the 10 a.m. worship service. Anne Talcott will lead the Praise Team in our opening songs and direct the choir. Come hear Pastor Dave Warner’s sermon titled, “Manger Meditations: Joseph.” How come Joseph stayed? We would like to invite you, your family and friends to join us for our annual Breakfast with Santa this Saturday, Dec. 3, at 8 to 11 a.m. Enjoy a yummy pancake breakfast, crafts, raffle prizes and a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus. This is a fun event, sponsored by our Presbyterian Women. The cost is adults, $5, 12 years and under, $2, and children under 5 are free.

CALVARY COMMUNITY: This Sunday at Calvary the message “Finding Perfect Peace,” references scripture from Isaiah and Matthew. Curing this busy and hectic time of year, how wonderful the experience of Christ’s peace is.

Join us for a Calvary Musical Celebration of Christmas. “My Simple Christmas Wish,” is a musical celebration of our hopes and dreams for Christmas. Through solo, ensemble, choral and instrumental selections, you’ll be reminded once again that the true “Reason for the season” is to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please join us Friday or Saturday night, Dec. 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. or Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. Admission is free. Sorry, no children.

PLACE OF REFUGE
: We hope you can join us this Sunday at 486 Button Avenue. The day starts off at 9 a.m. with Collide Network Breakout in the lobby; this is a great opportunity for junior high students and high school students to connect with positive influences their own age and learn that the Bible is relevant to them. Our Sunday morning service begins at 10 a.m.; bring the whole family for a time of modern, vibrant worship that will appeal to all ages, and a message that will give practical guidance for living the full life God wants for you. This Tuesday evening, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. the Place of Refuge Spanish ministry is pleased to welcome back international leadership speaker Rudy Alvarez; English  translation will be available and everyone is welcome to come hear this dynamic teacher’s insights. Get ready, AWANA clubbers! This Wednesday is “The Great Wrap-Up,” so come to club wrapped in your favorite Christmas wrapping paper. AWANA is a children’s program for ages 2 years to 6th grade, which emphasizes honesty, respect, and making right choices while having fun and building uplifting relationships with other children. AWANA at The Place of Refuge meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. Give us a call for more information. This Friday evening, Dec. 9, is the annual Young at Heart Christmas dinner.
