LINDA LANIER PERFORMANCE: Nashville recording artist Linda Lanier is performing at the Living Faith Tabernacle on Sunday, Feb, 7, at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Living Faith Tabernacle meets at The Emory Hall, 1028 W. Yosemite Ave. Lanier has built a strong following as a patriotic performer. The Hometown News played her popular “Prayer List” that was broadcast to 1.200 military bases and ships on the Fourth of July. She also performed on the grounds of the Pentagon for the 9/.11 Memorial Service. Her 2008 release, “The American Flag” has been received by 4300 radio stations nationwide, and has climbed into the Top 10 Christian Country Music Charts. For more information call 938-8303.

PRESBYTERIAN: Please join Manteca Presbyterian Church this Sunday at 10 a.m. for Pastor Dave Warner’s sermon “Things Said and Not Said.” Music Minster Anne Talcott will be leading the praise team at the beginning of the service as well as directing the choir in the anthem, “All the Way My Savior Leads Me.” We would like to invite you to stay and join us for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, January 31, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and/ or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday’s sermon title is “Joyful Living.” Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Wednesday nights we have dollar dinners at 5:45 p.m. followed by a Divine Worship service at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. CALVARY COMMUNITY: This Sunday at Calvary we continue the series ONE (No Longer a Slave) with Part 4, “Amazing Grace.” Sermon references are from Philemon 17-18. Please join us as we are encouraged by God’s world and fellowship together.

Calvary offers three Sunday services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. with children’s programs running at parallel times.

CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY: This Sunday, Pastor Scott Hoag will be sharing a message called “What Goes Around.” Our service time is 10 a.m. Nursery, preschool and Children’s Church are provided. Also, join us for our new Wednesday evening 59 minute service called “The Blitz.” The “Blitz” is designed for adults who want to be encouraged during the week with a plan from God’s word. The service includes a life-building message from Pastor Scott Hoag, the Play of the Week for families and uplifting music that will build your faith. We also offer: Royal Rangers & MPact Girl’s club for kids - Junior high and high school. It all starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 7:29 p.m. We are located at 17900 Comconex Road. FIRST BAPTIST: Sundays begin with Sunday School at 9 a.m. and there are a variety of classes. Pastor David Halla has a Sunday School class titled, “The World of Error.” We have childcare for infants through 4 years old. Pastor David Halla will bring the message Sunday, January 31 during our 10:30 a.m. Morning Worship Service. Time will be allotted during our morning service to join with other Southern Baptists for a Southern Baptist Convention “Call to Prayer Day.” Sunday, at 5 p.m. we will have a time of prayer in the Keenager classroom. This prayer is for all Southern Baptists (corporately or individually) to pray for a revival in SBC. There are many decisions being made including: the GCRT, GPS, Across North America, search committees for three SBC agencies, etc. God’s direction is needed. Another Bible study will begin Sunday, February 7, at 5 in the Keenager classroom. We will be studying about Christian History. We invite you to join us.

Our College/ Career Class meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays for a meal and then have Bible study. The adults are studying the book of Revelation on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Saturdays at 9 a.m. is when the men meet for prayer. On the 3rd Saturday of the month, the men meet at 7:30 a.m. for a Men’s Breakfast and Bible study. Call the church office for the locations. We welcome you to join us for our Bible studies and prayer time.

The food ministry is on Sundays at 12:15 p.m. (after our morning service.) If you are in need of food, please call the church to make an appointment.

Do you like good food and fun? If so, plan to attend our “Hearts of Joy” banquet on Saturday, February 13 at 5 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. The cost for the catered meal is $11 per adult and $5.50 per child (12 and under.) After we eat, Pastor David Skrimager Sr., will lead us in some fun activities such as the Newlywed Game. This is not a Sweetheart Banquet, you can come by yourself, with your family or with a spouse/ date. We don’t want anyone excluded. The number of people that will be attending and money needs to be turned in to Lynn Driver by Sunday, January 31.

ST. PAUL’S UNITED METHODIST: St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will worship this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary located at 910 East North Street. This Sunday Pastor Brandon Austin will be preaching a sermon entitled “The Bridge” using Luke 4:14-21. We will also be installing our new church officers. Lisa Brown will lead the younger children in children’s church and nursery care is provided in a well-equipped room during the worship services. At 9 a.m. there are classes for all ages.  
Wednesday Night Light begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck meal and worship with guitars and singing, and a message and prayer led by Pastor Brandon Austin followed by an interactive adult study focus on spirituality by reading and reflecting on insights from the book Hunger of the Heart by Ron Delbene and Bible-based activities for the youth and children.
