Manteca Police’s SWAT team and the Street Crimes Unit converged on an Escalon location Tuesday with a search warrant that resulted in locating an outdoor marijuana plant grow that reached heights of over eight feet following a tip from an investigation earlier in the year.
Sgt. Jody Estarziau said the marijuana grow was located in the 30500 block of Hall Road. It netted 2,420 pounds of marijuana.  She added that two firearms were also confiscated in the search.
Irineo Cebreros, 21, of Escalon was taken into custody without incident and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale along with allegedly being armed in the commission of a felony.
As of Tuesday night the Sheriff’s website did not indicate Cebreros was in their custody.
