8th graders can explore career paths during free workshop on Saturday

Eighth-grade students of the Manteca Unified School District can get a jump on their career path.
On Saturday, be.tech Charter High School at MUSD complex, 2271 W. Louise Ave. will be having a student workshop.
According to be.tech Principal Carey Simoni, those interested in attending can pre-register online using the following links:
uCulinary (http://bit.ly/2juy33W) — 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Students can explore the culinary field while spending time preparing recipes.
u First Responder (http://bit.ly/2AnW3jK) — 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Youngsters can learn basic training emergency medical services, police procedures, and firefighter career fields.
uIndustrial (http://bit.ly/2BZZBG6) — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students will learn computer-aided design, 3D printing, laser cutting / engraving, CNC (computer numeric control) plasma cutting machine, welding, and cutting torch use. They’ll create projects that they can take home.
Simoni said the workshops are free with spots still available.
