to rest on May 10, 2010 in Modesto, California. She was born on October 29, 1928.She has resided in Modesto, Ca for over 6 years and previously of Manteca. Amalia joins her husband in heaven Jose C. Valdez and their daughter Martha Valdez.

Mrs. Valdez is survived by her beloved children Daniel Valdez, Moises Valdez and wife Cathy, Esther Valdez, and Abel Valdez and wife Zenida. Amalia was blessed with 7 grandchildren Jeffrey, Michael, Jennifer, Joseph, Angela, Christen, and Abel Jr. In addition she has one surviving brother Salvador Herrera.

Amalia was a sweet, kind, and gentle lady. She loved embroidery; as she had a gift for designing beautiful designs on many different pillow cases and blankets. Amalia was always caring and warm with a giving heart. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Mrs. Valdez’s services are being handled by P.L .Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 am both held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.
