Northern San Joaquin Valley fans of the San Francisco 49er fans with game tickets have been dealt an ACE when it comes to avoiding game day traffic and sky high parking costs at the new Levi Stadium in Santa Clara.

Manteca council members John Harris and Vince Hernandez rode the Altamont Corridor Express out of the Lathrop-Manteca station on their own dime earlier this month along with Merced County and Stanislaus County leaders interested in extending ACE to their communities.

Harris noted ACE is planning train service to all home games for $30.

Hernandez also gave a plug for what he called “future Levi Stadium trivia” noting Manteca High will play the first prep football game ever at the $1 billion state-of-the-art 49er stadium against Wilcox High of Santa Clara at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29. It’s part of a shakedown for 49ers game situations at the stadium. The marquee game at 7 p.m. That day is national powerhouse DeLaSalle High against Jesuit of Sacramento.
