Lawsuits and threats of lawsuits against businesses and property owners related to alleged non-compliance with American Disabilities Act rules continue to grow in Manteca.

To help educate the business community regarding the ADA issues and potential financial pitfalls the Manteca Chamber of Commerce is hosting an “ADA Basics for Business” public workshop on Monday, July 14, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1001 W. Center St.

Presentations will be made by Dan Kaiser, President of Access Services Plus, and Julie Griffiths, Regional Director of California Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse. Business owners, commercial property owners, real estate professionals, contractors, design professionals and commercial business employees are encouraged to attend.
