If Mike Morowit is elected he will be the first Manteca City Council member from north of Lathrop Road as he resides in Union Ranch. Council hopeful Richard Silverman lives near Woodward Park as does incumbent Vince Hernandez. Cantu resides near Sierra High while Councilman Steve DeBrum — who is running for mayor — lives in east Manteca on the edge of the city limits in almond country.

For the record, Mayor Willie Weatherford and Councilman John Harris who are leaving the council in December, both reside in central Manteca a handful of blocks from each other. Debby Moorhead, who has a little more than two years left on her term, resides just north of the 120 Bypass in the Daniels Drive neighborhoods.
