Jack Snyder continues to buzz around government.

The Manteca City Council re-appointed Snyder to the San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control Agency Board on Tuesday.

Snyder, 86, was the longest serving councilman in Manteca history essentially serving almost a third of the time that Manteca has been an incorporated city. He served for 26 years and stepped down from the council in 2009. The city roughly tripled its population since the first time he was elected to his retirement. His tenure was interrupted by a gap from 1990 to 2002. Snyder is a retired Libbey-Owens-Ford industrial relations manager.
