Theyre not looking for water at Lincoln School

Crews drilling at Lincoln School on Tuesday weren’t looking to sink a well for water.

Instead they were taking soil samples for an upcoming Measure G school bond project that will involve building a multipurpose room at the elementary campus.

All but six Manteca Unified campuses within the city limits of Manteca and Lathrop already have irrigation wells. They tap into a much shallower water table than where the two cities pump potable water from municipal drinking supplies.
