LATHROP - Dryco Construction, Inc., a company specializing in pavement maintenance, performing all types of asphalt, concrete, fence and misc. iron work, is expanding its San Joaquin County operations. Dryco has purchased a 2,500-square-foot facility on 4 acres near Lathrop.

The company will be adding an additional 5,000 square feet. Jim Martin a broker with Lee & Associates represented Dryco in the acquisition of the property.

“We’re excited about building a custom facility to fit our needs in covering Northern California,” said Daren R. Young, president of Dryco Construction. “Originally, we thought we’d end up in Sacramento due to its density, but we found that Stockton was the perfect spot for us to dispatch from. I want to thank Shelley Burcham and the Partnership for all their help. We would not have got this done without them.”

Dryco relocated in 2009 from Fremont to a 5,000-square-foot service center with three employees in east Stockton. That new location in Stockton was the initiation of Dryco’s expansion of its asphalt services to the Central Valley and Northern California.

Young established the company in 1985 and it has developed into one of the most reputable pavement and concrete construction companies in the area. The San Joaquin Partnership provided a full package of sites, demographics and incentives in 2009 and with this expansion provided permitting assistance and development fee estimates.
