Trustees of the Ripon Unified School District could consider reducing the use of facilities fees for the Ripon Chiefs youth football and cheer program at tonight’s 7 p.m. meeting in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
The Chiefs are requesting five dates for use of Ripon High School’s Stouffer Field for three football games on each of those dates.
Eli Day is scheduled to speak on behalf of the local youth football program.
The facilities use fees covers utilities, janitorial supplies, garbage disposal, and, in this case, any labor necessary for wear and tear of the playing turf and stadium, according to RUSD.
In other agenda items:
uJohn Greenlee of Caldwell Flores Winters, Inc. is scheduled to talk about Bond Refunding Opportunities, with the district having passed two successful bond measures (Measure J in 2002 and Measure G in 2012) since 2000 for school improvements.
uRUSD Maintenance Director Andy Strickland will provide his summer facilities report. Included will be projects such as replacing carpet at Weston Elementary School, creating a Science lab at Ripon High, and getting all buses ready for the new school year thanks to the help of Worknet students.
