A Manteca man was arrested via a citizen’s arrest and cited by Manteca Police for allegedly performing a sex act in his truck at the Save-Mart parking lot in the 1100 block of North Main Street shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.

Sgt. Chris Mraz and Officer Marnix Lub made contact with Boanerges Vladimir Diaz who was driving his work truck at the time.

Lt. Tony Souza said a police investigation revealed Boanerges was inside the vehicle watching a pornographic video on his phone while masturbating. A male witness told police he had made eye contact with Boanerges, thinking he would stop but he told officers he continued the act. It was that witness who subsequently called police.

Boanerges was placed under citizen’s arrest for indecent exposure and later released on a citation to appear in the Manteca Superior Court.
