Dawson McGehee, 26, made his first appearance at the Stockton Courthouse Thursday afternoon charged with his mother's premeditated first degree murder on Halloween night.

The Manteca man sat against the wall and fidgeted with his fingers and hands, rolling his head and eyes backward as he waited for the judge to address him in what would be an arraignment continued until November 10.

Appearing somewhat delusional he responded to the judge with a simple yes when she asked if he understood the charges.
