Ripon rape suspect arrested

RIPON — Daniel Brendun Wagner, 28, of Ripon was jailed on charges of rape and rape with a foreign object shortly after midnight Wednesday by Ripon officers.

Wagner was arrested at his home in the 200 block of Blossom Drive after Ripon Police were called to the scene at about 11:30 p.m. where a young adult woman was allegedly being raped by force and then raped with a foreign object.   He was charged with three felonies: rape by force, rape by having the victim drugged and rape with a foreign object on an intoxicated victim.

The Ripon man was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday where he is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail with a court date set for Friday, Dec. 11, at the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court.
