Shots were fired on a vehicle and a home about 9:30 Tuesday night in the 1100 block of Alameda Street just west of Cottage Avenue.

Manteca Police Sgt. Jody Estarziau said there were no injuries in the shooting that struck a vehicle parked in front of the home several times and also the garage door with one round from a shotgun. She added that the incident was a suspected to have been a gang-related event. The house was also a subject of gunfire in a drive-by two years ago in 2013.

Police detectives are investigating the shooting and hope to locate the responsible party.
