Nat Bolden and The State of Mind Band are back by popular demand.

Bolden is described as the “smooth, suave, and debonair” King of the Blues. He along with The State of Mind Blues Band will be joined by special guest vocalist Victoria Matthews.

Together, they’ll perform at the “Valentine’s Blues Review and Dance” on Sunday, Feb. 14, from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Cost is $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

Chez Shari is located at 305 N. Union Road inside the Manteca Park Golf Course.

“Last month, they really rocked the house,” catering manager John Quinta said on Thursday.

Hors d’oeuvres will be available.

When it comes to playing the Blues, no one does it quite better than Nat Bolden and The State of Mind Band. Add Matthews, who is also known as “The Lady in Red” to the mix.

Quinta said Matthews has a Blues style reminiscent of Etta James.

He scheduled the “Valentine’s Blues Review and Dance” as an after-dinner event.
For those looking to dine out, Isadore’s Steak, Seafood, and Pasta is one of the popular Valentine’s Day destinations for couples.

Usually, the Manteca fine dining restaurant located at 680 N. Main St. is open exclusively for Sunday brunch, but the hours will be extended for that day.

Isadore’s hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m.

The menu includes Angus steaks, prime rib, freshly filleted fish, veal, chicken, and pasta dishes.

Finley’s Gentry Bar and Grill at 10477 S. Airport Way will also be open on Valentine’s Day.

The quaint countryside restaurant is owned by Deborah Finley. She’ll have the bar and grill available that day for those looking for a getaway dinner without having to drive too far.
