Manteca Unified School District’s Trustee Awards went to four graduating students for their academic accomplishments Wednesday evening at Park View Elementary School. Trustee Kit Oase presented the honors to Emily Green, Vikash Raja, Thomas Vaughn and Megan Johnson.

Citizenship awards were given to Madison Pugh and Jesus Torres with the presentations made by teachers Debra Newburg and Nicole Stock. There were 29 of the 52 students cited for academic excellence on the honor roll throughout the entire year.

School Principal Mona Ogden presented the graduates to the audience of parents and friends in the multi-purpose room with Trustee Kit Oase greeting each student as he handed them their diploma.

Accompanying fellow student singing the class song, “I will always remember you,” were Emma Jakobsen on the piano and Nolan Harris on the guitar. Harris will be attending Central Catholic High School in the fall and two of his classmates are going to attend Gregori High School in Modesto.

A class video was shown at the end of the commencement event.
