The Ripon High JROTC program earned four top-3 finishes, including a second at the Cal State Drill competition on Feb. 1.
Ripon competed against 11 schools in four events: Unarmed exhibition, color guard, armed exhibition and regulation.
The Indians’ armed exhibition team – under the leadership of Cadet Captain Timothy Hobbs – earned the program’s highest finish with a second.
Cadet 1st Sgt. Daelynn Dabney commanded the unarmed exhibition team to a third-place finish, while Cadet 1st Sgt. Sarah Hall and the color guard unit also finished third.
Cadet Command Sgt. Major Chris Fisher guided the Indians to a third-place showing in regulation.
