What are the current fashion trends among young people?
Students of the Regional Occupational Program’s Fashion Merchandizing class will be displaying the latest in spring and formal wear from many of the local businesses tonight in the Sierra High large gym, 1700 Thomas St., beginning at 7 p.m.
That’s when the seventh annual premiere runway Fashion Show will take place, featuring about 100 or so models from four comprehensive high schools of the Manteca Unified School District – notably, East Union High, Lathrop High, Manteca High and Sierra High.
The public is invited to attend this fundraising event that benefits students in Angie Anaya’s ROP class. They’re planning a field trip to the Los Angeles’ Fashion District in the spring.
In the past, she’s received support from the other ROP classes, including Careers in Law Enforcement (security), Fashion Design (apparel), Culinary Arts (catering), Interior Design (VIP room) and Video Production (recording).
Tickets are $10 for VIP and $5 if purchased from ROP students.
