“A Calvary Christmas” – an original Christmas musical – is being staged tonight at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Community Church, 815 W. Lathrop Road.

It is just one of a number of faith-based Christmas events taking place today in addition to the Lathrop Christmas parade.

The Calvary musical was written, produced and scored by members of the church. It’s described as being a story about the making of a musical and the search for what Christmas is about.
