The Manteca Tea Party Patriots are hosting a forum on gun rights and “reasonable” gun control tonight  at 7:30 p.m. at Chez Shari at the Manteca Golf Course. 

Robert and Mark Davis, co-owners of Manteca’s Elite Arms and Supply, will discuss the balance and bounds of the Second Amendment rights with the need to reduce gun violence. They will provide the latest news, laws, and direction the Second Amendment is trending. Several rulings at the state, federal, and Supreme Court levels that affect gun control and the Second Amendment have brought a new paradigm to the front and center of state and national politics. The group is seeking to have an open and civil discussion on what gun control is reasonable and what may or may not be the trends for Second Amendment rights.

After the panel members provide their statements and discussion, the audience will be invited to ask questions. The group welcomes all points of view so long as the discussion is kept civil. 

Chez Shari is located at 305 N. Union Road in Manteca. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Attendance is free and open to the public.
