Get in a holiday mood on Sunday with a special Christmas concert offering by the Manteca Kindred Arts Concert Association. The program will mark the return of the popular group, “Stockton Portsmen Barbershop Chorus,” which has delighted area audiences in previous years.

But this time, they will be joined by other musical groups, hence, the title of this weekend’s program, “The Stockton Portsmen and More!”

Joining them on the stage at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Manteca for Kindred Arts’ third concert of the 2011-12 Series are the “Delta Divas,” Fat City Four, Delta Harmony Express, and Tune Stuck.

All of these groups will join together for several numbers, which should put anyone in the holiday mood, according to the Kindred Arts press release. “The concert features clever arrangements of many of the most popular Christmas pieces from ‘Jingle Bell Rock,’ ‘I’ll be Home for Christmas,’ and ‘Feliz Navidad,’ to ‘Angels we Have Heard on High,’ – and, of course, ‘Santa Baby’!”

The concert will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission at the door will be $15 each for adults; $5 for students under 18, or a season ticket.

Following the concert will be a reception in the Social Hall of the church.

St. Paul’s United Methodist church is located at 910 E. North Street, corner of Powers Avenue.
