A public hearing is scheduled for Monday’s Ripon Planning Commission on a request to construct a 16-unit townhouse / condo complex in the area near the Ripon Cemetery.

Plans call for each two-story unit to be about 1,305 square feet, featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private garage, and driveway. The project is located at 126 Gilbert Drive and 154 Gilbert Drive in a Mixed Use zoned district – the applicant will be required to merge the two parcels.

The project known as the Gilbert Drive Townhouses will also have shared gazebo / BBQ area for residents and miscellaneous landscaping.

Commissioners will look to approve the use permit based on the findings and subject to the conditions of the staff report at the 6 p.m. session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

They’ll also look at a request to subdivide a property at 1173 S. Vera Ave. consisting of an existing single-family home and some outbuildings into three residential parcels.
