Egyptian Festival takes place today, Sunday at St. Mark’s in Ripon

Tours of St. Mark’s will be conducted during this weekend’s Egyptian Festival in Ripon.

St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church is hosting the annual Egyptian Festival this weekend.

The 22nd annual event will take place at the church located at 315 Orange Ave., Ripon.

Those attending can experience the rich culture, history, and hospitality of Egypt.

Admission for the two-day festival is free.

Egyptian Festival 2025 will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Featured will be a variety of food booths, offering up many of the favorite dishes, including shish kabob, falafel, beef shawarma, stuff grape leaves, zalabia, baklava, macaroni bechamel, filo cheese triangles, and others.

The Pharoah Bazaar boutique – offering everything Egyptian, from traditional clothes to apparel and souvenirs – and the Coptic book store will also be open.

In addition, there will be live entertainment, cultural performances, and fun activities for kids & families.
