It’s Pink Out for the Cure Friday at Guss Schmiedt Field.

Manteca High will be partnering with the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation that evening while hosting Central Catholic in a much-anticipated Valley Oak League football clash.

According to Link Crew advisor Mary Ann Tolbert, MHS along with the foundation will be looking to raise awareness and funds with “Pink Out for the Cure,” a fun and educational event.

“’Pink Out for the Cure’ is an outreach event on behalf of that empowers students to raise breast cancer awareness in their communities and spread the word about the local resources and support offered by the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation,” she said.

MHS will be selling t-shirts for $15 (sizes are limited) in support of the foundation and the Pink Out for the Cure campaign.

Those in attendance along with players and their families are encouraged to color the stadium pink during the game.

“We will be honoring fighters, survivors and those lost to breast cancer before the start of the varsity game,” Tolbert said.

Those who wish to be honored during this special recognition can register prior to the game in order to participate in the ceremony.

All donations will go directly to the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation.

In addition, donations can be accepted by contacting Tolbert at mtolbert@musd.net or Stephanie Hjelmstad at shjelmstad@musd.net or calling 209.858.7340.
