The Ripon Christian High’s Future Farmers of America is working to move on to the Regional level of competition.
Members of the local chapter recently helped the cause with a good showing in the Delta Valley FFA Leadership Development Contest held at Merrill West High in Tracy.
“Overall, we had a great day with many earning top ranks in order to move on,” said RC FFA Reporter Helia Vander Meulen of the Dec. 6 sectional event.
Among the notables results by the RC FFA included:
- Creed Speaking – 1st place, Anneke Dyt; 2nd place, Kaylin Nydam; 3rd place, Peter Vander Meulen.
- Best Informed Greenhand – 1st place, Caroline Kroon; 2nd place, Charlie Giulian; 5th place, Allison Gatzman.
- Impromptu Public Speaking – 2nd place, Shelby Terra; 4th place, Riley Drost; 6th place, Sydney Reyes.
- Prepared Public Speaking – 1st place, Ava Buwala.
- Job Interview – 6th place, Katie Van Unen; 7th place, Camdan Indelicato.
