Ripon expands watering to 3 days a week from now through October

The City of Ripon kicked off the new three-days-a-week watering schedule.

Effective during the months of March through October, all properties within the city with even numbered addresses are now allowed to water their landscape on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

All properties with odd numbered addresses can do likewise on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

No watering is allowed between 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. during the week and is prohibited on Mondays.

No irrigation of ornamental landscapes can take place during and 48 hours following measurable rain fall.

Those in violation of the watering conservation measures will be subjected to a warning followed by a penalty after that first written warning.

The cost ranges from $50 (first violation within a one-year period) to as much as $400 to those who with the additional violations with that a one-year period following the third time.

Customers, in addition, can view their water usage online by logging on to https://eyeonwater.com/signup, following the instruction from there to create an account.
