The Ripon Community Center Tennis Courts reopened not too long ago.
That was much to the delight of local tennis and pickleball players.
At Tuesday’s monthly session, the Ripon City Council is scheduled to signoff on the completed work of Consolidated Engineering Inc., authorizing the Notice of Completion with retention.
The $21,488 will be paid through a Proposition 68 Grant and the Parks & Recreation Capital Fund.
The community tennis courts are located at 687 S. Locust Ave.
The work completed on the project consisted of removal and construction of the old tennis courts along with updating the fencing, lighting, and netting to allow the use of the courts for tennis and pickleball.
The Ripon Community Tennis Courts now feature four regulation tennis courts and adapts to eight pickleball courts.
This item and more is part of the open session of the Ripon City Council meeting, which will be held in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave., beginning at 6 p.m.
