sj fair logo

The San Joaquin County fair is back.

Joel Reyna, who is the new fair director, made that announcement Tuesday at the Ripon City Council meeting.

Due to COVID-19, the family-fun summer event was placed on hold for the past two years.

The SJC fair consisting of midway rides, foods and exhibits is scheduled from June 3 through June 5.

Cost is $5.

The 2022 entertainment lineup for now includes:

  • Daily Grounds Acts – Flying K-9 Show, Jeremy the Juggler, Steve’s Balloons, and The Magic of Rafael
  • Friday (June 4) Main Stage – DJ Bobby Brown (afternoon), Tribute to Tom Petty (evening show).
  • Saturday (June 5) Main Stage – DJ Bobby Brown (afternoon), Tribute to the Eagles (evening show).

Horse racing will be available via video and livestream. Reyna noted that the live horse-racing remains a no-go since the facility is in need of repairs.
