Retired Manteca Fire Division Chief and Fire Marshal Ron Waddle passed away at the age of 76 on Feb. 22.

Waddle worked for the Manteca Fire Department for 34 years, having been hired in 1970 and retiring in 2004.

After retirement Waddle,  worked for a few more years as a part-time Fire Marshal in Tracy and Manteca but spent most of his time on his farm in Manteca.

Waddle Ron is survived by his wife Melanie, son Steve and daughter Sawndella.

Memorial services are being planned at a later date.
