Add John Mangelos to the list.
The longtime community supporter is the latest candidate in the running for the Ripon City Council, according to the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters office in Stockton.
Three seats are up for grab on the November ballot, including those currently occupied by Mayor Jake Parks, Leo Zuber and Mark Winchell, who was appointed to his post back in January 2015 following the sudden passing of Elden ‘Red’ Nutt.
 Zuber is seeking re-election.
Those interested in running for office should get in touch with City Clerk Lisa Roos. The deadline for filing is Friday.
Ripon City Hall, 259 N. Wilma Ave., will be open through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In Ripon Unified school board race, incumbent Christina Orlando is seeking another term.
She represents a section of southwest Ripon and, if opposed, only those in Trustee Area 5 will be allowed to cast their votes following the 2016 passage of Measure H, which said: “The district’s election for board members (are) to be according to trustee areas, with voters in each area voting on the board member that represents them.”
The seat currently held by Michael Fisher in Trustee Area 4 is also up for grabs. Those interested in that post must be from that area of southeast Ripon in order to be eligible.
Don Wever, Tamra Spade and Harrison Gibbs are currently in the running for the Ripon Consolidated Fire District.
Wever and Spade are incumbents in search for the four-year full terms while newcomer Gibbs is seeking the two-year short term.
