• VEHICLE ACCIDENT, HIGHWAY 120 BYPASS AT SOUTH UNION ROAD: Manteca firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle accident on eastbound Highway 120 west of Union Road on Sunday evening. Upon arrival, they found one vehicle on its roof on the side of the freeway and another vehicle in the center divider. The overturned vehicle had one person trapped, who required extrication.

• VEHICLE ACCIDENT, MADISON GROVE DRIVE, SEPT. 7
: Firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Madison Grove Drive on Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle on its side and one patient trapped. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extricated the patient through the vehicle’s sun roof. Emergency medical services were provided at the scene, and the patient was transported to a local medical facility.

• FIRE, PESTANA AVENUE, SEPT. 8
: Firefighters responded to an outdoor fire on Pestana Avenue on Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival, they found that fire from a barbecue had extended through a fence into the neighbor’s yard which caught a tree on fire. Once the fire had been completely extinguished, Firefighters checked the surrounding area for fire extension before releasing the scene.

• FIRE, NORTH UNION ROAD, SEPT. 10: Firefighters responded to a structure fire on North Union Road on Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, they found a fire on the balcony of an apartment. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and contain it to its point of origin without fire extension. Firefighters inspected the surrounding area to insure there were no further hazards before releasing the scene.
