Dawson McGehee, 26, has been ordered to stand trial for the alleged Halloween murder of his mother in a decision by Superior Court Judge Franklin Stephenson.
Sufficient evidence was cited from the three days of preliminary hearings held in the Stockton Courthouse for the arraignment to be scheduled April 12 in Department 35 of the Superior Court.
The UOP graduate is being charged with the premeditated murder of his mother in the Golden Pond family home on Sunday, Oct. 30. Her body was found near the entrance to her bedroom on the following evening, Halloween, by a Manteca Police officer who was conducting a safety check on the woman.
