High school graduation is right around the corner.
At Manteca Unified, commencement exercises for the Class of 2018 are scheduled for May 24-25.
Manteca High (Gus Schmiedt Field), East Union High (Dino Cunial Field) and Weston Ranch High (Cougars football stadium) will hear the playing of “Pomp and Circumstance” on Thursday, May 24, beginning at 7 p.m.
Graduation events at Sierra High (Daniel Teicheira Stadium) and Lathrop High (Bennie Gatto Field at Paul Wiggin Stadium) are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, May 25.
The graduating candidates are expected to dress appropriate. For example, young men are expected to wear collared shirts, slacks and dress shoes (prohibited are athletic shoes, flip flops or canvas shoes). Young women should be dresses or skirts / slacks along with shoes with low-heels given the long walk to the football field.
Each student will be given tickets to distribute to their family and friends. Additional tickets are not available for purchase.

Ripon Unified
For Ripon High, the new stadium bleachers along the westside grandstand will be in place at Stouffer Field for those attending the commencement exercises scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 25.
Seating capacity is limited. Admission is via ticket only.
Each graduate will receive a limited number of tickets, which will be distributed during graduation practice (dress rehearsal is 8 a.m. on May 25).
Graduating seniors do not need a ticket but must dress appropriately (slacks and dress shoes required for males, ties are optional / dress, skirt outfit or dress pants for females, spike heels discouraged due to the walking on grass for the ceremony).
