*WHAT: Ropin’ on the River Rodeo

*WHEN: Saturday, June 1, (Gates open 1 p.m. with rodeo at 6 p.m.) & Sunday, June 2, (Gates open 9:30 a.m. with rodeo at 2 p.m.)

*COST: Parking is free.  Entrance into the park and entertainment area is free.  Rodeo admission is $20 for an adult ticket, $15 for children, ages 5-12, and $15 for seniors.  Tickets are on sale now for a discounted rate of $2 off until May 31.

RODEO

Youngsters can compete in two events

at this weekend’s Ropin’ on the River

 

LATHROP - Youngsters can compete in this weekend’s Ropin’ on the River Rodeo sponsored by  Give Every Child a Chance and hosted by Dell’Osso Family Farm.

They can compete in junior barrel racing and mutton busting.

Junior barrel racing is open to children ages 12 and under. Each rider must provide their own horse. The entry fee is $60. It includes two adult admission tickets and one child admission (for the rider). Contestants can pick either Saturday, June 1, or Sunday, June 2. Contestants will be limited to five per day.

Mutton busting is open to children ages 3-6 with a maximum weight of 60 pounds. A rodeo supplied helmet must be worn to ride (no exceptions). The entry fee is $60 and includes two adult admission tickets and one child admission (for the contestant). Contestants can pick either Saturday, June 1,  or Sunday, June 2. Contestants will be limited to 10 per day.

All day family entertainment will include: vendor and concession booths, cowboy church, Clydesdale exposition, petting zoo, pony rides, souvenir shopping in the country store, and a few of the Dell’Osso Family Farm signature attractions: tire pyramid, bucking pumpkins, speedway, petting zoo, and pony rides.
