Piano concert Oct. 4 kicks off Kindred season

Award-winning concert pianist and composer from Sacramento, Tan Plescia, will kick off the 23rd anniversary season of the Manteca Kindred Arts Concert Association with a performance on Sunday, Oct. 4, starting at 3 p.m.

The concert will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 910 North St. (corner Powers Avenue) in Manteca.

Tickets, which will be available at the door, are $15 each for adults, $5 for students under 18, or a season ticket.

Plescia will perform for the first time on the Kindred Arts Series, which has been planning to present her artistry for several years. She performs regularly in the Sacramento and Bay Area venues.

Plescia graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities and a second Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Sacramento State University. She teaches at the Pease Conservatory of Music in Sacramento.
