Just because you aren’t having your own Super Bowl party doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the tradition of food and football.

A handful of Manteca establishments will be holding Sunday specials that replace the need to spend hours in the kitchen or over the grill – serving up everything from barbecue to seafood.

Chez Shari – located upstairs at the Manteca Golf Course – will be hosting a gourmet spread that is set to include barbecue ribs, chicken, pork loin, linguica, Polish dogs and hot dogs in addition to salad and rolls.

Food will be prepared for the first 100 people, and will include both hors d’oeuvres dessert. Admission will be $5 and the festivities are set to begin at 2:30 p.m.

Rocko’s Sports and Spirits will be hosting their annual Super Bowl Party which will include all-you-can-eat crab as well as a host of other foods. The $30 tickets must be purchased in advance at the 757 N. Main Street location – situated behind Chubby’s and The Waffle Shop.

And if it’s drinks that you’re looking for, Rookie’s Sports Bar at the Manteca Bowling Alley will be having specials on both bottled and draft beer – showing the game on their massive big screen TV’s. There will be no cover charge, and the management is currently working on bringing in food.

Tommy’s Beach Bar and Grill, located just across the parking lot from the Marketplace 10 Cinemas, will be closed on Sunday for the Super Bowl.
