One Voice is a delegation of policymakers, governmental officials and business leaders from San Joaquin County.

This advocacy group calls upon leaders in Washington, D.C., to discuss specific policy issues and projects important to the region.

Each year, the SJC Council of Governments board of directors will formally adopt those projects or issues for presentation to the federal funding partners.

The Ripon City Council has two such projects in mind.

At Tuesday’s meeting, elected leaders will discuss the Regional Transportation Project – specifically, the Ripon-Manteca Class I Regional Bikeway Connection – or the local priority project involving the surface water supply.

They’ll discuss this item and others at the 7 p.m. open session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

In other agenda items:

•    Jessica Coleman of Color the Skies is scheduled to be on hand for a presentation followed by a waiver request on rental fees for use of the Mistlin Sports Park on Aug. 30-31.

•Council will also hear a presentation from Altamont Corridor Express train representatives regarding the future expansion project to Modesto and eventually Merced. A discussion is scheduled to take place on the feasibility and opportunity of having Ripon as one of the stops.
