RIPON — The Ripon Chamber of Commerce will present the 25th Annual Main Street Day & Car Show in Ripon on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This old-fashioned street fair promises to be bigger and better than ever and will be held on Main Street, of course, in Historic Downtown Ripon.

This setting with its quaint buildings and stores exudes a quiet atmosphere reminiscent of a simpler time.  “The perfect place for the 7th year addition to the event…truly classy classic cars show.”

They have a new addition to the car show; they are having tractors enter, new ones, old ones with different categories for the winners. The car show will be held in a different location this year starting at Stockton Ave. and Main Street, continuing east on Main Street to the underpass.
Ripon Community & Youth Commission is having their 3rd Annual Health Faire this year in conjunction with Main Street Day. They will be located in the parking lot of the Ripon Athletic Club located at 318 West Main Street. Walgreens will be giving flu shots for $24.99 per shot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Fire Explorers are cooking up a fine pancake breakfast with all the trimmings on Saturday, Oct. 17.  The breakfast will be held at the Fire Station located at 142 S. Stockton Ave. from 6 until 10 a.m.  Tickets can be bought at the door. Ticket prices will be determined at a later day.  All the proceeds from the breakfast go to Explorers Scholarships for the Fire Explorers program

Friends of the Memorial Ripon Library will be having a Main Street Day $5 bag of books.  The used book sale will be in their parking lot from 9a.m. to 3 p.m. at 333 West Main Street. A Friends Eco-Tote bag will be provided in exchange for your $5 donation.
Ripon High School Band directed by Bryon Yerzy will be performing from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the Bank of the West parking lot, 411 W. Main Street.

Vendors will be selling arts, crafts, jewelry, food and a host of other items to round out the shopping fun.
