RIPON — A leadership training program is being offered by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Ripon Fire Department headquarters in the 100 block of South Stockton Avenue from noon until 3 p.m.

The program to be presented by motivational speaker and trainer Rex Osborn, is entitled “Leadership, Your Point of View.” It will cover differing leadership styles; and it will determine how a person leads and why others follow.

A light lunch is included in the registration with non-chamber members charged a $50 fee and Chamber of Commerce members set at $40 for the training.  Pre-registration is required by Friday, July 27, with seating limited to 50.

“You will walk away with a plan on how to share your leadership style with those at work.  Your expectations of those you lead will be known and what they can expect back from you will no longer be a secret,” Osborn said.

There is some preparation work that is required and is to be brought with students to the classroom setting.  Those attending will be sent an email with an attachment that they need to complete prior to arriving at the afternoon session.

Osborn is a seasoned trainer with over 30 years of experience in government, private business and as a college professor.  The session is designed for individuals who are in leadership positions or who want to continue to grow in the area of personal enrichment.

Those interested in attending may call the chamber office at 599-7519 or Rex Osborn at 456-7297.
